From ballads to R&B to disco - hardly any other band was as versatile and as successful as the Bee Gees. The three brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb have sold over 200 million records worldwide over the course of their career. The family band released the first single “The Battle of the Blue and the Grey” in 1963. VOX is taking this anniversary as an opportunity for another top-class musical documentary event: on June 15 at 8:15 p.m. the Cologne station will be showing “ 'Stayin' Alive' - 50 Years Bee Gees". For the first time on German television, her family also has a say in the four-hour documentary alongside the band: in interviews exclusive to VOX worldwide, Barry Gibb and his son Stephen report on the musical ups and downs and the strokes of fate in the family band.
