ABBA - 40 Years Waterloo

Maxi Media produces ABBA documentary for the anniversary of Waterloo

Cologne – 40 years of WATERLOO- On April 6, 1974, ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest in extraordinary outfits with their title "Waterloo", a song that has not been forgotten to this day.

In the four-hour music documentary, the success story of the four Swedes is told exclusively by ABBA member and composer Björn Ulvaeus, who Maxi Media met for an interview in Stockholm. By his own admission, Björn Ulvaeus doesn't give many interviews like this one, but he made an exception for the German viewers and reports exclusively in German on the band's beginnings, the triumph at the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton and ABBA's continued worldwide success .

In addition to the interview with Björn Ulvaeus and other interviews from previous years with the other ABBA band members Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog, the former Eurovision Song Contest competitors Maggie MacNeal from the Netherlands, the hit duo Cindy and Bert, as well as producer Ralph Siegel and singer Ireen Sheer, who competed for Luxembourg, to that night 40 years ago when "Waterloo" triumphed.

Furthermore, ABBA bassist Mike Watson, the Swedish band Mando Diao, ABBA biographer Carl Magnus Palm and BRAVO photographer and ABBA confidante Bubi Heilemann give new insights into the lives of the four ABBA band members and take a look at the musical career of the pop band , which has already sold over 380 million records.
