_{In the footsteps of Buena Vista}

Alvaro Soler and Nico Santos experience the myth of Cuba first-hand. In Havana, the two musicians meet some members of the legendary music combo "Buena Vista Social Club". The two friends not only take a look at the band's exciting success story, but also let themselves be inspired by the Buena Vista musicians Eliades Ochoa, Amdito Valdés and Barbarito Torres show places where music history was written. Nico Santos had a lot of fun on this trip: “The Cubans showed how much they love music and how good they can party. With the song we would also like to say thank you for the great hospitality.” Alvaro Soler is also infinitely grateful to have met the artists personally. These experiences will accompany the two musicians for a long time to come. In addition to the intensive encounters, the young musicians enjoy the advantages of Cuba. They work on their song on picturesque beaches and visit the bar that Ernest Hemingway once raved about. At the end of their Cuba trip they organize a big final concert together with the Buena Vista musicians.

The Buena Vista vibes can also be found in their song "Candela", which they wrote together in Cuba and will be released on August 26th, 2022 as part of Alvaro Soler's album "The Best Of 2015-2022".
