"60 Years of Rock & Pop History" - with Thomas Gottschalk
The four-part music documentary "60 Years of Rock & Pop History", produced by the Cologne-based company Maxi Media, takes viewers on a journey that began sixty years ago with Elvis and rock'n'roll. Music genres from rockabilly to synth pop to hard rock to disco and German pop are illuminated and the great artists of rock & pop such as Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Jimi Hendrix, KISS and portrayed Michael Jackson.
Thomas Gottschalk is the speaker of the four programs and takes the audience through the various decades of music history.
Numerous artists and music experts also have their say to reflect on what is shown and experienced: Among others, there are journalist Frank Laufenberg, music manager Thomas Stein, music producer Dieter Falk, TV presenters Hugo Egon Balder, Sabine Heinrich and Ingolf Lück and musicians such as Johannes Oerding, Elaiza and Gregor Meyle can be seen in the documentary.
